The Las Vegas dating guide · updated November 2026 Dating in Las Vegas: the complete guide for singles.
How to meet someone worth calling in Las Vegas, in one place: a seven-step dating plan, where to meet singles face to face, free date ideas, and a speed dating night for every age. From stand-up comedian Dawn Weir.
A city of two million people, and you still can't meet anyone?
You are not the only one. Las Vegas is full of singles, and most of them are at home on an app, swiping past people who live ten minutes away. The apps were built to keep you swiping. A real connection needs a voice, a face and about sixty seconds of kindness.
People are not bad at dating. They are out of practice at being kind to a stranger's face. The good news: that is a skill, and skills can be learned. Here is the whole thing, in seven steps.
From hello to a second date, in seven steps.
This is the plan Dawn Weir teaches out loud at the start of every speed dating night in Las Vegas, before anybody sits down for a single date. It works at 21 and it works at 71. Read it once, then practice one step a day.
Every guest at our nights goes home with all seven on a cheat sheet in their gift bag.
Know what you want
A relationship, marriage, a dance partner, or a friend first? Say it to yourself before you say it to anyone else, and say it upfront. It saves everybody time. Take the free Dating Skills Test (24 questions, about 5 minutes) to see your strongest and weakest areas.
Love yourself first
The person you bring to a date is the person they meet. Write down three things that are good about you, and practice saying them out loud. Love yourself, so someone else can love you more. Want help? UR-Amazing.org is Dawn's confidence and self-love coaching.
Present yourself
First impressions start before hello. Walk in like you belong there, stand tall, make eye contact and smile. Dress like the version of you that you like best. Put the phone away. Manners never go out of style.
Lead with a compliment
Notice the choice, not the feature: anyone can be told they have nice eyes, almost nobody gets told about the thing they chose on purpose. Say it once, plainly. When a compliment comes back, take it: no deflecting, no joke. Practice every day with the free app at ComplimentsForChange.com.
Ask, then listen
Ask one question that cannot be answered with yes or no ("What's the best part of your week?"). Then really listen, and ask about what they said. That is how a sixty-second hello turns into a real conversation.
Call, don't text, and stay safe
Write their number down and call the next day. Listen to how they say hello. Plan a real date in a public place, tell one friend where you are going, and take your own ride. If it is a no, a kind, simple "no, thank you" is all anyone needs, and you got your answer in one call instead of three weeks of wondering.
Meet a whole room at once
Practice all of it the same night at a Las Vegas speed dating night: the lesson first, then 12 to 15 short dates with a host on the floor, and a gift bag on the way out. $10 holds your seat. Not every connection is a forever love. Plenty are a forever friend, and you can never have too many of those.
Pick the room that fits you.
Every night is hosted in person by Dawn Weir, starts with the lesson, and is for adults 21 and over with a valid ID. Same seven steps, different rooms.
Practice the plan in person.
$10 on Eventbrite holds your seat (Eventbrite's fees are added at checkout), then $20 cash at the door. Walk-ins welcome on the night for $30 cash at the door; please arrive early to check in.

A first date should be short, public and easy to talk through. Walk and talk beats dinner and a movie every time: you can see each other, hear each other, and leave early if you want to.
Every month we list the free things to do in Las Vegas, Henderson, Summerlin and the towns around them: concerts, markets, art shows, parades and festivals.
- The Bellagio fountains and Conservatory
- The light shows under the Fremont Street canopy
- Clark County Wetlands Park trails
- A sunset walk on Water Street in Henderson
- A Saturday farmers market

- Is there speed dating for my age?
- Yes. PrimeTime is for singles 45 and over, Now or Never is for singles 21 to 44, Pride Time is for LGBTQ+ singles 21 and over, and open nights welcome every single 21 and over.
- How much does it cost?
- $10 on Eventbrite holds your seat, then $20 cash at the door. Walk-ins are $30 cash if seats are left.
- What is a good free first date in Las Vegas?
- A walk and a talk: the Bellagio Conservatory and fountains, a farmers market or a free concert. Our free events calendar lists free things to do every month.
- What if I'm nervous?
- So is most of the room. That is exactly why the lesson comes before the dating, and why there is a host on the floor all night.
